Valve plans to prepare Windows game code ahead of time to ease stutter on Arm
Proton ARM uses the FEX translator, and Valve wants its cache tied to Steam’s Pre-Caching feature.
Why it matters. Windows games on Arm chips can stutter when code is translated mid-game; preparing it in advance helps.
In simple words. Some devices use different chips from normal Windows computers, so games must be translated while you play. Valve wants to prepare the translation before a game starts. It has not said when.
Worth a look if you like to know how Windows games run on different chips.
